Who Are We
We exist to make disciples who treasure Christ.
Back in the 1980s, a pastor named John Piper famously coined this phrase: “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.” We 100% agree with Piper on this statement and this truth influences a lot about how our church functions.
Horizon City Church seeks to be a community of believers that treasures Jesus Christ together, finding our satisfaction and happiness in him, and we seek to point others towards the true satisfaction and happiness that can only be found in God through faith in Christ.
Who Are We

Leadership
We are an elder-led and congregationally-governed church.
We seek to be fully submitted to the commands and wisdom of Christ. We want our church to be led and ordered the way God intended for churches to be led and ordered.
Our church is led by elders/pastors that are called to humbly lead the church and are responsible to help God’s people spiritually flourish. We also believe the church members have responsibilities in guarding the purity of the church.

We are committed to maintaining streamlined processes for new people to acquire info about our church and to move toward meaningful church connection and involvement. We don’t want anyone ever guessing as to what their “Next Steps” ought to be.
